Dr. G.V. Mali is Vice Principal (Academics) and Associate Professor in Microbiology at Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) Yashwantrao Mohite College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Pune. His area of research is Agricultural Microbiology, Environmental Microbiology and Food Microbiology with special interest in plant growth promoting rhizobacteria, PGPR and secondary metabolites of medicinal plants, biodegradation of pesticides, bioremediation of heavy metals, probiotics, aflatoxins etc. He is an expert author in Microbiology for Marathi ‘Marathi Vidnyan Vishwakosh’ published by Maharashtra State Marathi Vishwakosh  Nirmiti  Mandal. He has visited to Visited Malaysia, Singapore and Bhutan and presented research papers in International Conferences. He is a recipient of Fellow Membership Award (FWRA) by World Researchers Associations for achievements and for promotion of Research and Environment and Academic Excellence Award by Institute of Scholars, Bangalore. He is a guest faculty in Food Technology Department for Food Microbiology at Defense Institute of Advance Technology (DIAT), Khadakwasala, and Pune.
