Dr. Onkar Gurav is Assistant Professor at Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed To be) University, Yashwantrao Mohite College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Pune. He is a faculty in Department of Physics. His areas of research are radio and optical observations of Earth’s Atmosphere, Ionosphere, Ionospheric Irregularities, disturbances in satellite communications and navigation systems, Sun-Earth’s Magnetic Field Dynamics, Geomagnetic Storms, GPS, IRNSS etc. He also did his post-doctoral work in Space Physics from Indian Institute of Geomagnetism, Navi Mumbai. So far, he has published more than 24 research articles in Scopus indexed international journals which has received citations of more than 129 & h-index of 8. He is currently works as Head of the Department and Chairman in board of studies.
