Department of Computer Engineering is established in 1985, offers undergraduate (B.TECH.), postgraduate (M.TECH.) degree courses and Doctoral program.

The Department of Computer Engineering is established in 1985, offers undergraduate (B.TECH.), postgraduate (M.TECH.) and Doctoral program. It commenced with the undergraduate programme of B.E Computer Engineering with an intake of 60 students under the University of Pune. In year 2000, the institute came under the ambit of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University. Currently intake of BTech Computer Engineering is 180 and MTech is 06.

PO1 Apply the knowledge of Mathematics, Science and Engineering fundamentals to solve Electronics and Telecommunication engineering problems.
PO2 Identify, formulate and analyze complex Electronics and Telecommunication engineering problems.
PO3 Design systems, components and processes in the field of Electronics and Telecommunications that conform to the given specifications and cost constraints
PO4 Configure, apply test conditions and evaluate outcomes of experimental Electronics and Telecommunication systems
PO5 Select and use appropriate modern engineering tool for design and analysis in Electronics and Telecommunication, with an understanding of the constraints.

Programme Outcomes STATEMENT
PO1: Engineering Knowledge: Apply knowledge of mathematics, natural science, computing, engineering fundamentals and an engineering specialization as specified to develop to the solution of complex engineering problems.
PO2 : Problem Analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions with consideration for sustainable development.
PO3 : Design/Development of Solutions: Design creative solutions for complex engineering problems and design/develop systems/components/processes to meet identified needs with consideration for the public health and safety, whole-life cost, net zero carbon, culture, society and environment as required.
PO4 : Conduct Investigations of Complex Problems: Conduct investigations of complex engineering problems using research-based knowledge including design of experiments, modelling, analysis & interpretation of data to provide valid conclusions.
PO5 : Engineering Tool Usage: Create, select and apply appropriate techniques, resources and modern engineering & IT tools, including prediction and modelling recognizing their limitations to solve complex engineering problems.

Faculty

The department has excellent qualified faculties who are engaged in teaching and research 11 faculty members with Ph.D. qualifications have been proved as resources for research, innovations, and sound Teaching – Learning Process.

The department is actively involved in research and the faculty members are involved in publishing of research papers in various journals and conferences which are indexed by Google scholar, Science Citation Index (SCI) and Scopus. The overall citation of the papers published by the department is more than 1300 and an H-Index of 15.
