About Department

The Department of Prosthodontics provides clinical services to the patients. Most of the patients who undergo treatment are Geriatrics. Over here fabrication of complete dentures, removable partial dentures, cast partials, and crown and bridge prosthesis are under taken.

Some of the advanced procedures that are taken care by the department are:
  • Maxillofacial prosthesis
  • Obturators
  • Immediate dentures
  • Dental implants and titanium castings

For the postgraduate and undergraduate level students, a fully equipped phantom head laboratory with simulators and ultramodern attachments like- air-rotor, micro motor, three-way syringe to an individual table is provided. This enables the students to acquire expertise as well as the confidence while they are actually treating the patients.

For fabrication of prosthetic appliances and restoration with a high degree of precision, there is a state-of-the-art ceramo-metal laboratory with latest all ceramic and metal ceramic furnaces, titanium casting machine, milling machine, stereomicroscope etc.
