HOD’s Message

The Department of Orthopaedics was started in 2005. Presently the Department has 100 beds.There are three Orthopaedic functioning units. Over the years many students have been trained in orthopedic surgery.

Aim-

  • To create socially aware and active doctors through dynamic medical education
  • To educate the medical students in such a way to make them socially aware & active so that these competent doctors can influence necessary social transformation from all sides, through active research and patient care. For fuilfiling these objictives we have

The Department has a spacious OPD located  on the ground floor with 4 consultation rooms, POP room, Procedure room and minor OT for day care procedures. It also has a prosthetic and orthotic room to provide calipers, braces and artificial limbs. The Department has interactive Digital Displays and Multimedia projectors. The Department of Orthopaedics is located on the second floor of E1 wing of the hospital. It has a Seminar room large enough to accommodate 50-60 students. It has a physiotherapy room to cater to physiotherapy for in-patients and there is a counseling room next to the ward.

The Department also has a well-stocked library with latest books and journals from reputed publications.
