The Department of Chemical Engineering, established in 1984, holds a place of pride and is amongst the most reputed departments of Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed To Be University) College of Engineering, Pune.

Academic Excellence

The Chemical Engineering department is the oldest department in the Pune region offering undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes. It is known for its valuable contribution in providing outstanding professionals to the industry and research organizations.

Accreditation

The Chemical Engineering department has been accredited in three cycles in 2005, 2012, and 2018 by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).

Research

Our department laboratories are well equipped with sophisticated instruments and relevant research facilities. In the last five years, research funding of Rs.93.8 lakh has been received by our department from the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Technical Education Quality Improvement program (TEQIP), and Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed To Be University). Our students and faculty have published 84 research articles in peer-reviewed journals and have filed 4 patents in the last five years.
