It is matter of pride that the department is now known as one of the best in the country. There are individual working cubicles at the postgraduate clinic for every operative clinician. Each cubicle is self -sufficient with respect to armamentarium and cabinetry and the entire clinic is air conditioned. There is also a central music system.

A separate area of sterilization has been demarcated and there is an isolated area for counselling of patients and parents when they are informed about the treatment plan. The department has a well-equipped digital library which provides a wide array of textbooks and literature along with the journals.

Internet access is also available in the library for the students. The department has a classroom/ technique room with optimum audio-visual aid and these are specifically for practical training for undergraduate level students as well as for the purpose of organizing CDE program. As far as the postgraduate students are concerned there is an air-conditioned seminar room equipped with optimum audio-visual aids which comprise an LCD projector as well as a visualizer for hands on demonstration.

The postgraduate section of the department also has a wet plaster laboratory along with a laboratory for a practical work which is equipped with latest armamentarium such as:

Biostar
Minister
Hydro soldering unit
Electro polisher
Sand blaster
Acrylizer and dewaxer

There is a separate laboratory and a sterilization room for the undergraduate section. At the undergraduate and postgraduate orthodontic clinics, there is a beeline of patients and a large number of cases are being currently treated with removable, fixed and myofunctional orthodontic appliances.

The treatment modalities that are being practiced in the clinic include contemporary techniques according to global standards such as:

Preadjusted edgewise appliance
Lingual orthodontics
Growth modification
Orthognathic surgeries
Temporary anchorage devices (orthodontic implants) etc.
