About Department

This department is responsible for treating the dental problems of children as well as preventive dentistry. The department has advanced equipment comprising of RVG (Radiovisiography), soft tissue Lasers, Ministar( Pressure Molding Machine) , Intra oral camera and Painless anesthesia system.

Students here are also taught how to take care of and manage difficult children, the physically and mentally challenged ones along with the ones medically compromised child.

There is sufficient space for Postgraduate and Undergraduate Clinics along with separate isolation room, sterilization room and a spacious toy room. The department takes pride in having an excellent work force which works closely with the Public Health department.

Some of the prominent initiatives and work that have been undertaken by the department are:

Periodically conducting the dental awareness programmes at the school in the form of dental check-ups, lectures etc
Associated with Young India and Rotary Club for holding camps and treatment of children from various schools and orphanages and providing them with to and fro transport.
The department also organized a one-day dental check-up treatment camp for the blind children in the department.

This department provides full mouth rehabilitation for specially abled and highly uncooperative patient under general anesthesia at the Bharati Hospital, Pune Thus, the pediatric patients have benefited from the umbrella care i.e., all treatment facilities under one roof
