Electrical Engineering Department of Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) College of Engineering, was established in the year 1987 with the approval of AICTE, New Delhi with an intake capacity of 60 students. The college and the programme were affiliated to the University of Pune. The University Grants Commission and the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India awarded the Deemed University status in the year 2000 and now runs programme at B.Tech. (Electrical & Computer), M.Tech. (Power Systems) & Ph.D. levels. The department is accredited by NBA (National Board of Accreditation) in 2005, 2012, 2018 and 2020, 2021 and 2022

The spacious infrastructure, well equipped laboratories, meritorious students and academically qualified and enthusiastic faculty and innovative and project based teaching learning are the salient features of the Department. The Department has highly qualified faculty member’s with average experience of more than 14 years. More than 1500 students have acquired B.E. / B.Tech (Electrical & Computer) degree and most of them have attained high positions in the organizations of repute. Some students continued their studies abroad and some have their own business. This shows the versatility of the knowledge they acquired in the department.
