Laboratory is sponsored by Propellex solutions Pvt Ltd, Pune. MOU is signed between Propellex Solutions Pvt Ltd and Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) on 24th May of 2018.Laboratory focus on research work related to enhancement of performace of battery and drive system of electric vehicle.

Laboratory is also sponsored by Amplify Clentech Solutions Pvt Ltd,Bengaluru . MOU is signed between Amplify Clentech Solutions Pvt Ltd,Bengaluru and Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) on 12th January of 2019.Laboratory focus on research work related to enhancement of performace of battery and installation of charging station.

Electrical Engineering Department of Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed To be University) College of Engineering, was established in the year 1987 with the approval of AICTE, New Delhi with an intake capacity of 60 students. The college and the programme were affiliated to the University of Pune. The University Grants Commission and the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India awarded the Deemed University status in the year 2000 and now runs programme at B.Tech.

(Electrical), M.Tech. (Power Systems) & Ph.D. levels. The department is accredited by NBA (National Board of Accreditation) in 2005, 2012, 2018 and 2020.  

The spacious infrastructure, well equipped laboratories, meritorious students and academically qualified and enthusiastic faculty and innovative and project based teaching learning are the salient features of the Department. The Department has highly qualified faculty member’s with average experience of more than 14 years.  

More than 1500 students have acquired B.E. / B.Tech (Electrical) degree and most of them have attained high positions in the organizations of repute. Some students continued their studies abroad and some have their own business. This shows the versatility of the knowledge they acquired in the department.  

The department, apart from routine academic curriculum takes keen interest in several other academic activities like project based learning, Saturday@bvucoe, Engagement of people with science & technology, seminars, skilled based activities, expert lectures etc. and updates the practical aspects through industry -institute interaction. Department is having liaison with more than 76 industries and have industry developed electric vehicle laboratory. A 45 days In-plant training is a integral part of the syllabi which gives exposure of industrial environment to the final year students. The syllabus is so designed that students are well exposed to the needs of the industry. The department continuously motivates the students for their involvement in Industry- institute interaction, including social activities.  

Students can do research in various areas related to electrical and Computer science engineering like - Instrumentation & Measurements, Simulation & Programming, DC & AC Machines, Power system Engineering, Application Softwares in Electrical Engineering, Special Purpose Machines, programming languages, Power Electronics, Database management system (SQL), Advanced Microcontroller & Embedded Systems, Industrial Automation, Web Designing Electric Vehicle Architecture & Modeling, Power System Modeling and Analysis, Power Quality Issues & Mitigation Techniques, Computer Aided Power System analysis, Computer Networks

The minimum qualification for faculty is M Tech; mostly having Ph.D or are pursuing Ph.D.

There is a dedicated department namely T&P, which extends all types of help in inviting the industries and arranging campus placements for the students.

Other facilities and opportunities provided to students which include, sports facilities, professional skill development, and social activities.
